The Local Police of Tías arrested this weekend three men for different crimes related to robberies and thefts.
On the one hand, the police officers arrested a man as the alleged perpetrator of a robbery with force in a house in the municipality.
On the other hand, they arrested two men for an alleged theft committed in a commercial establishment in Puerto del Carmen.
In addition, the Local Police of Tías instructed proceedings against another citizen for an alleged crime against road safety by driving a vehicle under the influence of alcoholic beverages.
The mayor, José Juan Cruz Saavedra, states that "security in the municipality is a priority for our government group and for the Local Police of Tías, whose agents I thank for their dedication and professionalism."
The mayor praised "the constant and effective work carried out by the Local Police, especially in tourist areas such as Puerto del Carmen, where a large number of residents and visitors are concentrated, but also in the rest of the municipality."
