Firefighters from the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium have extinguished the flames of a fire in a house on Veracruz Street in Arrecife.
Alerted by the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES), the firefighters went to the house. Upon arriving at the scene, they verified that the fire was located in the kitchen of the property, which had a gas installation.
The smoke also affected several rooms such as the bedrooms and the living room.
Likewise, the firefighters cut off the power to the house. Once the fire was extinguished and the house ventilated, they verified that there were no "embers or hot spots" and the service was terminated, informing the fire station and CECOES.
