Firefighters extinguished the fire last Sunday at around 7:40 p.m. in a construction building on Jose Hernández Almeida Street in Arrecife, according to the Security and Emergency Consortium.
Emergency personnel, alerted by the CECOES, went to the abandoned building in the San Francisco Javier neighborhood. Upon arrival, they found that it was a garbage fire in the basement of the building. During their inspection, they did not find anyone inside. After the appropriate checks, they proceeded to extinguish the fire with water.
In addition, agents of the National Police also came to the scene.
