The President of the Canary Islands Government, Fernando Clavijo, signed this Sunday the decree declaring a day of official mourning, April 18, as a sign of condolence for the deceased in the tragic accident that occurred in the municipality of Arona in Tenerife.

The decree will be published this Monday in the Official State Gazette (BOE) and that same day will be the day of official mourning.

The text of the decree includes the condolences of the Executive to the families and friends of the deceased and indicates that during this Monday, April 18, the flags will fly at half-staff in the scope of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands.
