Agents of the Citizen Security and Intervention Unit (USCI) of the Local Police of Arrecife arrested a man this Monday, whom they surprised "making a transaction" of drugs on La Niña street, in Arrecife.
The events occurred at around 4:45 p.m., when the agents were carrying out their duties in the prevention of the sale and consumption of narcotic substances. The surveillance resulted in the arrest of S.B, 48 years old and a native of Guinea, who was surprised "in the middle of a drug purchase and sale operation", according to the Arrecife City Council.
In the same way, the alleged client, 43 years old and a native of Arrecife, was intercepted, from whom two small white bags, presumably cocaine, were seized. According to the police report, the client put these two bags in his mouth upon noticing the police presence.
The first of those arrested was brought to justice. The client was issued a complaint and narcotic substances were seized.
