The Civil Guard of Lanzarote arrested three men between the ages of 18 and 23 as perpetrators of crimes of threats with a bladed weapon, damages, and robbery with force, for thefts in commercial establishments such as supermarkets and bazaars, as well as from bathers in beach areas, taking advantage of moments of carelessness in the town of Costa Teguise.
The first arrest was carried out after committing a robbery with force in a well-known leisure establishment in the tourist town, after accessing it by forcing one of its doors and stealing several bottles of alcoholic beverages.
After the collected inquiries and verifying that the physical characteristics and the modus operandi carried out in other robberies in the area coincided, it was found that the perpetrator was the same in another illicit act in a nearby premises, which he accessed arbitrarily in the company of the other two young men.
Once the Civil Guard of Costa Teguise arrested the first perpetrator inside the establishment, in the Pueblo Marinero area, the other two young men left the place, where the first arrest took place, not being able to be located in the first instance.
However, on the afternoon of November 23, there was again knowledge of the presence of these two individuals, in the Pueblo Marinero, in the town of Costa Teguise, who had not been located until that moment. This knowledge was obtained after receiving a warning for threatening a local businessman with a large knife, with whom they had had several altercations in previous days.
At that moment of the threats with a bladed weapon, carried out by these two young men, who were identified in situ, proceeding to the arrest of the same, charging them with the alleged crimes of threats with a bladed weapon and damages, initiating the instruction of the corresponding proceedings and their being placed at the disposal of the Court.
The proceedings were sent to the Investigating Court No. 2 on duty in Arrecife, as well as the placing of the detainees at the disposal of the court.
