A zodiac that was anchored on Las Cucharas beach in Costa Teguise disappeared in the early hours of Friday to Saturday, according to a complaint by its owner, the windsurfer Antxón Otaegui.

"I think they must have taken it by water, I don't think they took it by land," says its owner. In addition to pointing out that "the anchor was there", he also states that he has been able to see the recordings from the security cameras of a restaurant in the area and that "no one was seen on the ramp" of the dock.

Antxón says that he realized that the boat had been stolen around 2:00 p.m. on Saturday and that after that he toured "the entire island to see if he could find it." He points out that in previous years, two boats were stolen from the windsurfing school he runs on the island and that they were later found "without the engine", one in Charco de San Ginés and the other in Las Caletas.

However, this time his search concluded without success and, for the moment, Antxón has not been able to find the zodiac, which in this case does not belong to the school, but to him. "I imagine someone has it in a garage waiting for all this to pass a bit and take it out in a year, I don't know," says the windsurfer.

For the moment, he has already reported the events to the Civil Guard hoping to locate the boat, which he had just bought. "It had been in the water for nothing, four days," laments Antxón Otaegui.
