A woman was injured after being run over last Sunday on Chafariz street in Arrecife. The driver of the vehicle that ran her over fled the scene, according to the Local Police
The incident took place at around 8:50 p.m. and the 47-year-old woman had to be transferred to a health center, from where she was discharged shortly after, as her injuries were not serious.
The agents continue working to locate the driver of the vehicle that fled after the accident. It is a white Opel Corsa, and the Local Police is asking for collaboration from possible witnesses.
Two other arrests
Also, in the early hours of Saturday, the Local Police officers arrested a man who was driving under the influence of alcohol. The detainee, identified as J.C.V.C., 40 years old and a native of La Laguna, crashed his vehicle against a lamppost located on Mosta street in the capital's Los Geranios neighborhood.
The arrest occurred at around 5:30 a.m., when the agents gave the driver a breathalyzer test, which showed four times the permitted alcohol level, so he was arrested and placed at the disposal of the courts.
On the other hand, during the weekend, local agents also arrested a young Senegalese man, identified as C.F., 30 years old, for driving without the corresponding permit. The offender was intercepted on Jaén street and placed at the disposal of the courts.
