A downpour of water that fell on Sunday morning in the south of the island has caused a large puddle in the roundabout under the bridge of La Hoya near Las Breñas. Due to the accumulation of water, a large puddle has been created that "has trapped several cars", as reported by the Lanzarote Emergency Consortium.
Agents of the Local Police of Yaiza and firefighters from the Consortium have traveled to the scene to drain the area and remove the cars from the place.
According to the State Meteorological Agency, the rains will continue to occur throughout Sunday, with showers that may occasionally be heavy and storms. The situation will improve at night and this Monday.
