The burning of cars and containers continues in Lanzarote. On this occasion, a vehicle burned in the early hours of this Sunday in Playa Honda, according to the Emergency Consortium.

The fire occurred at about 5 in the morning in Quilla street in the coastal town of the municipality of San Bartolomé, when the CECOES was alerted.

"We were awakened by the noises because they sounded like 3 firecrackers", explains a neighbor to La Voz still with a fright in her body. "I heard the first one and thought it was some funny guy with firecrackers, soon the second one sounded and I got annoyed, the third one was very loud and all the neighbors looked out."

Agents of the Civil Guard and firefighters went to the scene. Upon the arrival of the emergency teams, the car was burning in its entirety. The Civil Guard asked the neighbors to move the cars away from the burning vehicle and fortunately only one license plate was affected by the heat.

Finally, the citizen emphasizes that "the firefighters arrived quickly and that is why nothing more serious happened, because the houses are very close."
