A vehicle plunges into the water in Puerto Naos with one occupant inside
At noon this Friday, the guards of Puerto Naos had a good scare when they saw a car plunging into the sea with an occupant - the driver - inside. According to eyewitnesses of the event, the vehicle picked up speed and headed directly into the water, remaining floating on the surface for a few seconds, before finally submerging into the depths of the sea.Fortunately, the occupant was able to get out of the vehicle and reached the shore swimming, where he was rescued and transferred by the security forces present at the scene to the General Hospital of Lanzarote. Given the doubt that there could be another person inside the car already sunk under the water, about 25 meters from the dock, an underwater rescue team from Emerlan, with four divers, searched the area and located the car, inside which they searched to rule out the existence of another person inside the vehicle. The car was sunk in a vertical position with the front bumper punctured at the bottom. The underwater rescue team proceeded to refloat the vehicle and take it to the dock, where a crane was waiting to remove it. Fortunately, everything has been a scare.
