Judicial clerks and the National Police have searched several homes and vehicles in the Argana neighborhood of Arrecife, early this Tuesday morning, in what appears to be an operation against drug trafficking, according to sources close to the case.
The operation culminated at 9:00 a.m. with the arrest of a mother and her son, of Colombian origin, who would be related to alleged drug trafficking. In addition, agents have arrested two other people, two sub-Saharans, who were apparently illegally in Lanzarote and lacked papers.
Around forty National Police agents have participated in the operation, in an operation that has been coordinated by the Udyco and that would have ramifications in other parts of Spain.
