The Civil Guard of Arrecife is investigating a minor who was driving without a license accompanied by his father. The events occurred on November 20 at kilometer 2 of the LZ-2 road, direction Arrecife to Playa Blanca. The agents of the Traffic Group are investigating the minor, as the author of an alleged crime against road safety, and his parent, as a necessary cooperator.
On November 20, at kilometer 2 of the LZ-2 road (Arrecife-Playa Blanca), belonging to the municipality of San Bartolomé, the Civil Guard agents observed how a car was driving erratically and at an abnormally slow speed in front of them.
The police forces then decided to proceed with his arrest after activating the police lights and acoustic devices. When approaching the vehicle, they observed that a young man was behind the wheel. After requesting his driver's license, it was found that he lacked any type of administrative authorization that would enable him to do so. A fact that was confirmed by his companion, who turned out to be the driver's father.
The agents informed the parent that his son was going to be investigated as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against road safety for driving a car without the corresponding driver's license, since it constitutes a particularly serious conduct and that supposes, beyond an administrative infraction, the commission of a criminal offense typified in article 384 of the Penal Code. Likewise, the father was also informed that he would be investigated as a necessary cooperator for the commission of said crime.
From the investigated facts, the corresponding procedures were instructed and delivered to the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office and the Arrecife Duty Court.
