José Antonio street in Arrecife was the scene in the early hours of Saturday to Sunday of a mass brawl, which resulted in several injuries, including one by knife.
As confirmed to La Voz from the National Police, the incident occurred at around 6 am and numerous officers from the National Police and the Local Police had to be deployed to the scene, given "the disproportionate number" of participants in the brawl.
Police sources have not been able to specify the exact number of people involved in the fight, as the incident occurred at the exit of the nightclubs located on this street and a great commotion of people was stirred up. "There could have been between 50 and 100 people, although not all were part of the fight," they point out.
During the fight, one of those involved brandished a knife, causing a superficial cut to another of the participants in the brawl. In addition, several people were injured as a result of the attacks, although all have already been discharged.
The National Police is investigating the events, but everything points to it being "a fight between Colombian gangs" and some of those involved have already been identified, all of them between 18 and 23 years old.
