The Yaiza Civil Guard arrested a man who runs a leisure venue in Playa Blanca on February 26 as the alleged perpetrator of a drug trafficking crime after various quantities of narcotics were seized from him. The detainee, according to reports from the Benemérita, is 42 years old, responds to the initials A.P.S.L., is of Spanish nationality and has "multiple police records", specifically with eight previous arrests.

The Civil Guard reports that, while carrying out citizen security prevention work during the afternoon of the aforementioned day, the agents stopped a motorcycle "whose driver did not pay due attention to them" and "after throwing a small object, fled the area." The agents verified that what was thrown was a small package with 13 grams of methamphetamine, immediately beginning the monitoring and location of the motorcycle driver, since they had "well-founded suspicions of who" the driver was, as it was a person with several police records.
