A 72-year-old man died this past Monday after suffering a cardiorespiratory arrest on El Reducto beach, according to the Emergency Consortium.
The victim was walking along the shore when he suffered the heart attack. The lifeguards performed advanced maneuvers to try to recover him, but it was in vain. When the paramedics arrived, they could only certify his death.
Local Police agents and an ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service went to the scene.
