The alarm went off at about 2 p.m. this Tuesday, when the operators of the Kalise company notified the emergency services of a fire in one of the trucks they use to distribute the products. Although the Kalise workers tried to extinguish the flames with fire extinguishers, the fire spread to the rest of the vehicles that were around.
The column of black smoke could be seen from several kilometers around. The emergency services feared that the fuel tank of the vehicles would explode, although in the end, the only thing that burst were the tires of the trucks.
The firefighters who went to the scene had to stop extinguishing the flames for a few moments, as the unit assigned to this service ran out of water and had to wait for another emergency unit to appear at the scene, with which the fire was finally brought under control.
