Firefighters from the Security and Emergency Consortium had to extinguish two container fires in the Titerroy neighborhood on Thursday night. One of them also affected a bank, where several windows were broken.

After being alerted by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 at around 10:30 p.m., the firefighters went to La Niña street, where four containers were burning: one organic and three for various recycling.

Due to the intensity of the fire, several panes of glass at the Bankia bank headquarters were affected, which fractured, and the fire began to enter the interior. Likewise, several lights, part of the building's facade and several windows on the first floor were affected.

According to the Security and Emergency Consortium, several tiles on the facade of the house located opposite also came off due to the heat, so the firefighters removed them and deposited them in a safe place, next to the burned containers.

The National Police also went to the scene, who contacted a security company to guard the bank during the night.

Another three containers set on fire in the neighborhood

A little over half an hour later, specifically at 9:54 p.m., the firefighters had to extinguish another fire in Titerroy, in this case on El Isleño street.

There, a cardboard container and two organic waste containers burned. Local Police and National Police also attended the scene in this case.
