A car crashed into the windmill at the entrance roundabout of Playa Blanca and burned. Fortunately, witnesses to the event managed to get the driver out of the car before it burned, according to the Emergency Consortium.
The healthcare personnel assisted the injured man, a 30-year-old male, who presented a possible hip and femur fracture, and after stabilizing him, he was transferred to the Molina Orosa Hospital.
The accident occurred at approximately 11:35 p.m. this Friday, March 14, when CECOES was alerted. Agents from the Local Police, Civil Guard, a medical ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service, Civil Protection, and firefighters were dispatched to the scene.
The agents of the Local Police of Yaiza and the Civil Guard were in charge of guarding the area, organizing traffic, and carrying out the corresponding report.
The firefighters proceeded to extinguish the vehicle using water and foam.
