A boat with 19 immigrants on board, four of them possible minors, arrived this noon on the coast of Tinajo, in Lanzarote, according to a spokesperson for the Canary Islands Government Coordinating Center for Security and Emergencies (Cecoes).

The boat was located at approximately 12:40 p.m. this Sunday by some sailors about five miles off the coast of La Santa. The sailors alerted Cecoes after spotting a boat with the immigrants inside.

All 19 occupants of the boat are male and adults, except for four who could be minors and are waiting to undergo the relevant tests to determine their age.

Cecoes mobilized personnel from the Civil Guard, Maritime Rescue, Red Cross of the Sea and a GES land vehicle.
