The Insular Theater of Lanzarote will host on June 17 a play that has been worthy of great praise from Spanish theater critics. This is 'Constant Rain' ('Steady rain', in its original title), a text by the American playwright Keith Huff, producer and screenwriter of series that have achieved great success, such as Mad Men or House of Cards. Its Spanish version comes from the hand of David Serrano as director ('Cinema Days', 'The Other Side of the Bed', etc.) and Sergio Peris-Mencheta ('Captain Thunder and the Holy Grail', 'Life in Red') and Roberto Álamo (winner of the Goya for best supporting actor for his role in 'The Great Spanish Family').
'Constant Rain' narrates how the friendship between two young policemen, Rodo and Dani, friends since childhood, is affected when a series of events begins to be investigated by the internal affairs department. In a few days, a series of events introduce them into a spiral of increasing violence that will affect their lives forever. Not only is their friendship tested, but also their scale of values, as well as their sense of honor and loyalty.
Huff's piece was a success from its premiere, becoming one of the biggest box office hits on Brodaway, despite not being a musical. The play had an exceptional cast in the New York boulevard, with Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman as protagonists.

Its Spanish version has already received the approval of critics. "Brothers in blood, rain of talent. Roberto Álamo and Sergio Peris-Mencheta offer two powerful and memorable interpretations in 'Constant Rain', a black thriller by Keith Huff," said Marcos Ordóñez, critic of El País. The ABC expert, Juan Ignacio García Garzón, highlighted the staging, "absorbing and dynamic" and assured that it is a "black chronicle cooked red-hot."
