Arrecife celebrates the massive influx of public to the San Ginés Festivities, organized by the capital's organization. This was also the case on Friday with the XXIV Arrecife Folk Festival, held in the Charco de San Ginés, in which the Arrecife, Acorán de Los Realejos and Nambroque de La Palma folk groups participated; and the Urban Summer Fest, which filled the Islas Canarias Park with young people with performances by EDM Canarias, 1515, Nase, Calidah, Kidd Caxopo and El Peluza.

The program of events of the Sangineles -as the Patron Saint Festivities of the capital of Lanzarote have been affectionately known throughout their lives- includes on the morning of this Saturday, from 10.30 am, the Offering to the Patron Saint of Arrecife in the area known as Boca del Muelle, presided over by the mayor Yonathan de León.

In the afternoon-evening, the First Senior Gathering will be held, from 7:00 p.m. in the Charco de San Ginés with performances by Los Jarvac and Los Diablos; as well as a Verbenazo starting at the same time in the Islas Canarias Park with the intervention of Mambo Latino, Banda Loca and Corinto Band.

Sunday events

Tomorrow, Sunday, the little ones will take center stage with the children's show La Súperabuela, starting at 7:00 p.m. in the Islas Canarias Park and the attractions of the Fairgrounds at the price of one euro for children and two euros for adults.

In addition, in the sports section, the Beach Handball and Beach Volleyball tournaments will continue to be held on Playa del Reducto from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. As a last-minute novelty, the Arrecife City Council has programmed, with the aim of boosting the environment of Playa del Reducto, the screening on a giant screen of the final match of the women's soccer world cup between Spain and England, starting at 10 am.

Also, from 11:00 am, the Five-meter Latin Sail Boat Trophy will be held, from 12:30 pm the XXVIII San Ginés Swimming Crossing will be held, departing from La Rocar beach and at 6:00 pm the Canarian Wrestling Tournament will begin on Playa del Reducto. Also noteworthy in this section is the awards ceremony yesterday Friday of the XIX Senior Canarian Ball Tournament of Wood.

And if there has been animation in the musical shows and sporting events held so far in the Festivities, no less animated are the traditional Ventorrillos of La Recova, which since its inauguration last Thursday are having a large influx of public and where you can also enjoy the parrandas that liven up the stay.
