Coinciding with the twenty-third anniversary of Lanzarote's declaration as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO, the performance of 'The Legend on the Burnt Island' will be performed again. The theatrical performance, which was presented on September 22 in Playa Honda, is moved this time to the municipality of Arrecife, next Saturday, October 8. It will be at noon in La Plazuela, but before the company will tour the streets to call on citizens to attend the performance.
Thus, in the manner of the theaters of comedians of yesteryear, the cart of the company Losótroh will tour the Royal Street of Arrecife on Saturday from 11.30 am, announcing the performance, which will begin half an hour later. The activity, promoted by the Lanzarote Biosphere Reserve office and the Arrecife City Council, seeks to "continue with the informative work on the importance of living in a space whose sustainability model must be a world reference", the Cabildo has highlighted. In line with this informative objective, the performance, which lasts 60 minutes and is for all audiences, will be free and free of charge.
The performance will be given by the theatrical company Losótroh, headed by Salvador Leal, and has been created and produced by order of the Biosphere Reserve Office itself. The work "seeks to entertain and entertain through a story and allegorical representation with a deep load of symbolism and awareness about our environment and environment", highlights the Cabildo.
The island institution has contributed some 8,600 euros for this informative project, destined for the creation and writing of the theatrical work, the production, staging and representation of the same. The objectives of this initiative are part of the actions contemplated within the framework of the projects of the 'Lanzarote 2020 Strategy'.
The mayoress of Arrecife, Eva de Anta, has encouraged residents and visitors to participate in this street theater proposal, "which turns the public space into the best of scenarios and the message of the actors and actresses into an invitation to reflect on the future of our island".
