Historical Data
The building of the Neighborhood Association is located on the land donated by Librada Díaz Suárez next to the church and was built under the direction of the neighbor and president Fernando Pérez Padrón, who had the collaboration of all the members. Members who were summoned in the morning on Saturdays and Sundays and if they missed the appointment without justifying the reason, they had to contribute 1,000 pesetas, which were deposited in the Association's current account for the purchase of the necessary material. Thus, with much enthusiasm, desire and work, the members and neighbors of Altavista saw their dreams come true with a magnificent two-story building where cultural and festive activities began to be celebrated, some exclusively for the members and others with open doors for the general public.
