The academic Ignacio Buqueras y Bach will offer a conference this Wednesday in Arrecife as a universal tribute to the Spanish language. The mayor of the city, Yonathan de León Machín, invites citizens to the conference, which will be accompanied by the presentation of two of the books by this distinguished writer and Academic Numerary of the Royal Academies of: Doctors of Spain, European Doctors and the Sea, and Diplomacy of the Kingdom of Spain. The Arrecife City Council, through the Department of Acts and Events, directed by Councilor Óscar López, organizes this conference in the capital of Lanzarote.
The presence of Buqueras y Bach in Arrecife, who these days is participating in several events with the Cervantes Institute coinciding with World Book Day, corresponds to an invitation extended by the mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León. This week World Book Day is celebrated, and during this year, Arrecife is commemorating the 225th anniversary of the founding of the municipality of Arrecife.
The academic Buqueras y Bach is an economist. In addition, he is a Doctor of Information Sciences from the Complutense University and also a businessman. President and advisor of several associations such as the Association for the Dissemination and Promotion of World Heritage of Spain. And it should be noted that he is also Executive President of the Universal Tribute to the Spanish Language.
Without forgetting that he is a director of the Club Siglo XXI, Royal Spanish Naval League. Civic Panel, Platform of Civil Society G2020, Counselor of the OCU and member of the Spanish Chapter of the Club of Rome.
The academic has written several books, among his latest publications are those that he will present in Arrecife, during his conference this Wednesday in the Municipal Archive: 'Universal Tribute to the Spanish Language', and the 'Cultural, Natural and Intangible World Heritage of Spain', with free admission until full capacity.
