In the fourteen years of existence of the Gala de La Pardela, the reign of a Miss in the coastal town of El Golfo had never been so long, of course, due to covid Miss Galana Rabiosa, chosen in 2019, could not give up her crown until this Saturday, October 29, 2022, when the southern public was able to meet again to enjoy the satirical show that this time crowned Miss Erizo Picón, sharing the spotlight with Calabacita and Perra Sata del Paso, chosen Miss Elegancia and Miss Simpatía, respectively.
With an unprecedented public participation, the tent and beyond was bursting. Seventeen candidates, turned into girls, paraded along Lanzarote's most glamorous catwalk to convince the three members of the jury, illustrious connoisseurs of fashion and entertainment: Juan Antonio Machado, Juan Martín de la Cruz and Ramón Lemes, who even received pressure from the candidates in the form of "gifts".
Presented by the gentleman Guayo Rodríguez, one by one they demonstrated their good walk holding the type, yes, with one or another slip, but passing with flying colors their parade and elegantly displaying wardrobe, headdress and accessories, not easy to wear before the demands of the show.
El Golfo once again enjoyed a vacile that is already essential in the celebration of its popular festivals, a vacile that this year also featured the performance of the Lanzarote comedian Kike Pérez, who before the appearance of the misses offered an hour of monologues to burst out laughing.
Afternoon and evening party
And if the night was intense, the coastal afternoon was not wasted either. El Golfo experienced a spectacular day full of music, joy and fraternization between neighbors, neighbors and visitors who had a great time at the Cachorro party.
The band Treintytantos opened "fire" with its wide repertoire of versions to make the numerous audience sing, dance and jump, complicit in its pop - rock sounds, although the afternoon would not end there because then the inexhaustible singer from Tenerife, Pepe Benavente, took to the stage, who with a renewed repertoire and singing his most traditional hits managed to liven up the celebration. The City Council of Yaiza, represented by the mayor, Óscar Noda, and the Councilor for Festivities, Javier Camacho, and the El Golfo Festival Committee thank the public for their participation.
