"Something unique and different" (Europa Press); "Overflows with euphoria (Custodio Pastor, El País); "Captures, envelops and hypnotizes as it grows, masterfully (?). You feel absolute freedom and you start dancing wherever you are" (Virgina Díaz, Radio 3).
These are just some of the reviews that La Transfiguración del Mastodonte, the musical show offered by Mastodonte, the musical group led by the Basque singer and actor Asier Etxeandía and the Italian musician Enrico Barbaro, has received in the press. Both, Etxeandía and Barbaro, in addition to the entire band that Ivan Prada, Pino Rovereto and Domi Oliver complete, will be this Friday, January 10 at the Víctor Fernández Gopar "El Salinero" Theater.
The concert will take place at 8:30 p.m. and there are still tickets for sale, which cost between 15 and 20 euros, and can be purchased on the Cultura Lanzarote website. Tickets can also be purchased at the Theater box office, from one hour before the start of the show, but only if tickets have not previously sold out. The concert is organized by the Culture area of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, directed by councilor Alberto Aguiar.
An emotional journey in the form of a concert
Mastodonte is the musical project led by Asier Etxeandia and Enrico Barbaro that has come to light in the form of a conceptual album shaking up the new musical scene. La Transfiguración del Mastodonte is an emotional journey in the form of a concert, like the anatomy of a life, with its different stages, acts that make up its songs, epic and resounding. A conceptual journey through the experience of a human being, from a life prior to his birth, through adolescence, the discovery of passion and love, maturity, loss, forgiveness and death and serene acceptance of his mistakes.
The search for how to be oneself until the end, without reservations. A celebration of life, a party where electronics, rock, baroque, the intimate, funk, the experimental with the classic and dance music mix to create the definitive celebration. La Transfiguración del Mastodonte is a journey in the search for the causes of the frustrations and fears that do not allow us to be faithful to our intimate and exclusive way of being.
If in El Intérprete Etxeandia spoke of what others did to the child, in La Transfiguración del Mastodonte he speaks of what the adult does to himself. With a powerful sound and visual experience in the search for a vital change towards a collective redemption. A concert with a band in a state of grace, directed exclusively at the heart of the spectator. Pure energy.
