The Socio-Cultural Center of Mácher hosted this Monday, within the framework of the San Pedro festivities and in an act organized by the Cultural Association “Tías Foro por la Identidad”, the presentation of the poem book “Remembering the Past”, by the local author Queta Saavedra

The journalist Sara Duarte was in charge of presenting the act, which began with the following words: “The wind, music of breeze and distance, which the people of this town know, which always lulls us night and day, I always remember this town, like a small pearl. The pearl has become bigger today, but the wind does not go away”

Duarte thus recalled the typical climatological characteristic of the place, Mácher, where the author was inspired to create her literary work.

The author of the poem book, Queta Saavedra, delighted the public with her anecdotes and past stories, in which she involved most of them, making them feel that they were also part of the content of that poem book.

The act concluded with the delivery and gratitude to the authorities present, and from the organization they highlighted the Tías City Council “for its involvement in the Culture of the municipality in these times that are so necessary.”

In addition, there were also words of thanks to members of the association and neighbors who collaborated in the preparation of the poem book, such as Juan Cruz Sepúlveda and Carmelo Mesa.

The closing of the act was enlivened by the musicians Sofía Pérez and Norberto Acosta, who gave the attendees goosebumps on a night full of emotions.
