The Haría City Council presents the XVIII edition of the Malabharía International Circus Festival, which will take place on January 2nd, 3rd, and 4th at different points in the municipality. This event is sponsored by the National Institute of Performing Arts and Music (Inaem), the Cabildo of Lanzarote, and the Government of the Canary Islands.
The first deputy mayor and councilor of Culture, Evelia García, states that "this festival has become a cultural reference not only for Haría but also for all of the Canary Islands." "This new edition demonstrates the City Council's commitment to performing arts and inclusion, offering shows for all audiences. We encourage neighbors and visitors to enjoy this unique experience," adds García.
This event brings together national and international artists from countries such as the United States, Ireland, the United Kingdom, France, Chile, Argentina, and Portugal. Among the shows that can be enjoyed are juggling, acrobatics, and acrobatic cycling, among others. In addition, this year will feature the participation of 20 artists who join the more than 400 who are already part of the Malabharía team.
The program includes daytime shows in the Haría square starting at 5:00 p.m. and nighttime performances in the Haría Sports Center and in the La Tegala theater starting at 8:00 p.m.
The Haría City Council, "committed to inclusion", has reserved 10% of the total capacity for people over 65 years of age, who can purchase their tickets in person at the Culture office of the City Council while supplies last.
