The Arrecife School Carnival came to a golden end this Friday with its own burning of the sardine, thus concluding the activities in the educational centers of a festivity full of imagination and creativity.

The parades of the different schools have been the most exciting moment for the students of the Infant and Primary cycles, who have been able to go out and parade through different roads of the capital, showing off their costumes before the eyes of neighbors and visitors who applauded as they passed.

The boys and girls of the CEIP Capellanía del Yágabo and La Destila were the first, but in successive days the students of the CEIP Argana Alta, CEIP Adolfo Topham, CEIP Nieves Toledo, CEIP Antonio Zerolo, CEO Argana, and CEIP Benito Méndez Tarajano also went out.

A highlight of this year was the inclusion of the two-year-old students from CEIP Adolfo Topham, who participated in the parade for the first time, adding even more fun and enthusiasm.

The presence of local authorities in the parades marked the importance that these events organized by schools have for the Municipal Corporation.

Thus, together with the Councilor for Education, Aigail González, who attended each and every one of the parades, were present the mayor of the city, Yonathan de León, and the Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Festivities, Echedey Eugenio.

Also other capital city councilors, such as those responsible for Youth, Rosmen Quevedo, Social Welfare, Maite Corujo, and Citizen Participation, Cathaysa Suárez joined the joy of the young carnival-goers demonstrating the support and commitment of the municipal government to the education and well-being of schoolchildren.

The Councilor for Education, Abigail González, expressed her congratulations to the entire educational community for their great work and dedication in the organization and participation in the 2024 School Carnival. This event not only strengthens ties within the educational community, but also fosters creativity, cultural expression and the festive spirit among the youngest.
