Next Friday, September 18, the third edition of the Arrecife En Vivo Festival will kick off, bringing together 17 national and international bands, without forgetting the Canarian and Lanzarote groups. This edition will be divided into four concerts, which will take place on September 18 and 25 and October 2 and 9.
The festival was presented this Tuesday at a press conference, in which the Councilor for Tourism and Culture of Arrecife, Rafael Juan González, defined this edition of the festival as "the most novel and surprising of those held so far." "This is a festival that has grown over the years, unique in Lanzarote, and is now fully consolidated within the calendar of cultural and tourist events, not only in the municipality but throughout the island," the mayor emphasizes. "So allow me to, first of all, congratulate the organizers, HSmith Solutions, because in this new edition they have outdone themselves," he added.
Among the novelties of this year, the Councilor for Tourism of Arrecife emphasized the conversion of the festival into a "tourism product." "We have set out to promote Arrecife as a tourist destination, attract the largest number of tourists who visit us those weeks from the tourist centers of the island and present them with the wonders we have in Arrecife. To get tourists to know the city in a different way, taking a route, concert by concert, through its most emblematic spaces and expand the leisure offer in the afternoon-night time slot so that tourists live a unique experience together with the local public."
From Springsteen's opening acts to Ale Acosta
The concerts will be divided into eight stages, spread among the "most charismatic" enclaves of Arrecife. Thus, you can enjoy music in the Charco de San Ginés, the Plaza de Las Palmas, La Plazuela, the Islas Canarias park, El Reducto, in front of the Gran Hotel or in Marina Lanzarote.

Among the highlights of this third edition of the festival, the City Council highlights the "greater artistic quality" of the bands and artists. Thus, Arrecife en Vivo will feature, for example, the presence of the Irish band Delorentos, chosen by Bruce Springsteen as opening act for his tour in the country of the clover, in his only date in the Canary Islands. There will also be important bands at the national level such as Corizonas or Cycle, Lucky Dados or Tiki Phantoms.
Among the Canarian bands, Vientos from Suburbia will take the stage. There will also be groups from Lanzarote such as The Kraters, Los Magnéticos, Club 4 and the Lanzarote musician with the most international projection currently, Ale Acosta, an artist who has been nominated for Latin Grammy awards, among others.
Promotional campaign with app included
To achieve the objective of turning the festival into a "tourism product", a series of actions have been carried out, ranging from the launch of an important promotional campaign in the main tourist centers of the island, to the design of a campaign in two languages with maps of the stages and places of tourist interest in Arrecife.
In addition, the festival signage will also be in two languages and at all concerts there will be a tourist information point, with staff who will attend to any type of need that arises in three languages.
On the other hand, all the information of the festival is in the official App of the festival, which is already available for IOS and Android. Both the web and the App are accessible in Spanish and English. In the app, you can find all the useful information of the event: bands, location of stages, dates, schedules, etc. It also contains a photography contest with the theme of the festival that has a GO PRO as a prize. You can find the rules in the APP itself and in arrecifeenvivo.com.
In addition, in this edition Arrecife en Vivo sponsors an NGO in order to collaborate in its dissemination. This is Contuayuda.org, a recently created NGO that carries out labor intermediation between the business sector and the population at risk of social exclusion. It provides socio-economic assistance to specific situations of urgency and high risk for families on the island who require it.
The festival has 17 official establishments: La Raspa, La Bulla, Naia, Divina Italia, Bar Asturias, Pampero, La Tentación, Gambrinus, La Botica, Cervecería El Reducto, La Pepa, Lizarrán, Paía, Kopas, Capuchino Grand Café, Diamar, El Pequeño.
