The three defendants who confessed to introducing more than 400 kilos of cocaine into Lanzarote through a boat that arrived in La Santa already have their sentences. After having admitted the facts during the trial that was held last week in Arrecife, the Prosecutor's Office proposed a reduction in their sentences that was accepted by the three.

In addition, in its conclusions, the Public Prosecutor's Office withdrew the accusation of belonging to a criminal group against the six defendants, so the three defendants who denied the facts also saw the requests for penalties for them decrease.

Specifically, Roberto H.N, who with his confession admitted to being the leader of the organization and who from Lanzarote was in charge of planning operations to acquire the drug in America, as well as organizing its transport and final distribution on the island, must serve a sentence of nine years and one day in prison for a crime against public health and pay a fine of 47.3 million euros.

The same sentence was accepted by Daniel Alejandro A.A. who, as stated in the indictment, carried out preparation work on the Florida II sailboat, in which he later traveled to America with Sergio Andrés A., where they introduced the drug and returned to Lanzarote.

For his part, Sergio Andrés A. must serve a sentence of eleven years, three months and one day in prison for a crime against public health, and six months in prison for a crime of falsification in an official document. In addition to paying a fine of 47.3 million, he must also pay another 720 euros for the second crime.

For Omar R.O, Cristóbal B.M. and José Miguel L.M., who denied the facts, the Prosecutor's Office finally requested a sentence of 12 years and six months in prison and that they pay a fine of 78.7 million euros, with the trial being adjourned for sentencing.
