The complaint against the Kokum Club nightclub for allowing dancing in the venue and "not respecting the capacity" has reached the Courts. "We cannot allow everyone to pay because of him and have the doors closed to everyone," Faicán González, the owner of the Garden, Tecla Karaoke, and DiscoKopas La Marina venues, told La Voz, confirming that he and his partners have also filed a complaint with the Arrecife Local Police.
In both complaints, the representatives of these three nightlife venues located in Marina Lanzarote insist that on July 10th and 11th, the Kokum Club was open to the public, "with customers dancing on the dance floor, not respecting the capacity, nor the safety distances, nor the hygienic-sanitary measures established by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism to reduce contagion by Covid-19".
"You only have to see the images," said Faicán González, who stated that the person in charge of the Kokum Club himself "acknowledged that it got out of hand". However, in statements on Radio Lanzarote, Ludovid Vera defended that he had complied with "all the rules", that the capacity did not reach "even 40 percent" and that people were dancing "in reserved areas". "I am very calm," he said, even stating that the Local Police went several times and "did not see anything wrong".
"He apologized to us because on Friday it got out of hand and on Saturday it got even more out of hand and we think it's a lack of respect," said the owner of the Garden, Tecla Karaoke, and DiscoKopas La Marina venues, who explained that they were the ones who called the Police and that they are waiting for the police report.

Likewise, the owner of the Garden, Tecla Karaoke, and DiscoKopas La Marina venues has accused the person in charge of the Kokum Club of lying by saying that the complainants had "used" the name of La Grulla in the statement they sent to the media without it having "anything to do" with the complaint, even stating that the owners of this venue were going to take "measures" for it.
"All this makes me angry, the truth," said Faicán González. "I am not going to put the name of a venue without the authorization of the property", stated the owner of the Garden, Tecla Karaoke, and DiscoKopas La Marina venues, who, although he has clarified that La Grulla has not participated in the subsequent complaints that have been registered with the Arrecife Courts and the Local Police, did join the statement.
