A small plane made an emergency landing on Thursday afternoon on a street in the Amarilla Golf area, in the Tenerife municipality of San Miguel de Abona, and its two occupants were not seriously injured, sources from 112 Canarias informed EFE.
The two occupants are a 50-year-old male, who was transferred to Hospiten Sur, and another 20-year-old male, who was taken to the southern hospital, in both cases for observation and to complete the health assessment.
The emergency landing took place on María de los Ángeles Ascanio Cullen street, just a few kilometers from Tenerife Sur airport, and the small plane ended up hitting a roundabout, after which the two occupants were able to get out on their own.
The accident did not affect any pedestrians or other vehicles, the sources detail.
Tenerife Firefighters spread foam on the road due to a fuel spill from the small plane.
In addition to the Canary Islands Emergency Service, which mobilized three ambulances, the Local Police and the Civil Guard also intervened in the emergency.
