Between January and July, the Art, Culture and Tourism Centers of Lanzarote received 1,984,488 people, 21.1% more than those who arrived in the same period of last year, according to statistics published by the Lanzarote Data Center.
That is 350,000 more people than had done so between January and July of last year. Also 300,000 more than those who did so in the same period of 2019.
Every month of this year, the CACTs have registered a much higher number of visits than those that occurred last year.
The enormous growth at the beginning of the year (in January and February it has been greater than 50%) can be attributed in part to the limitations on mobility that still existed at the beginning of last year.
However, the spring and early summer data give an idea that the CACTs are experiencing strong growth in the number of visits per se. In March, April and May the growth compared to last year was greater than 10%. In June and July it was 6.7% and 7.3% respectively.
