Rentals in the Canary Islands have increased by 19.4% in one year

In the province of Las Palmas, the average price per square meter for housing rentals is 13.23 euros.

Canary Islands closes the second quarter of the year with a year-on-year increase in housing rental prices of 19.4% and a quarterly increase of 8%, according to data from the real estate company's price index Fotocasa.

These increases detected in June place the price of rental housing in the archipelago at 12.85 euros per square meter per month.

By province, the rental price per square meter is 13.23 euros in Las Palmas, while in Santa Cruz de Tenerife it is 12.35 euros.

In addition to the Canary Islands, ten other autonomous communities have exceeded historical maximums in rental per square meter. The Balearic Islands (17.16 euros), Madrid (16.70 euros), Catalonia (15.94 euros), the Basque Country (14.64 euros) and Cantabria (13.16 euros) have prices above those of the Canary archipelago.

Below the prices of the Canary Islands, but also with maximum prices in their context, were Comunitat Valenciana (11.53 euros), the Region of Murcia (8.79 euros), Galicia (8.47 euros), Castilla y León (8.33 euros) and Extremadura (6.36 euros).

Regarding the ranking of prices by province, 13.23 euros are paid per square meter in Las Palmas, followed by Santa Cruz de Tenerife with 12.35 €/m2 per month.
