The average rent in the Canary Islands registered in June 2024 an average rental price of 12.78 euros per square meter, which represents a semi-annual rebound of 18.33%, the most intense in the country, according to the latest semi-annual rental price report from pisos.com.
Compared to June 2023, it also led the national rebounds, with 32.02%. Monthly and quarterly, it was the highest, revaluing 2.90% and 8.58%, respectively.
Nationally, the average stood at 11.73 euros per square meter. The monthly growth has been 0.95%, quarterly 2.53%, semi-annual 5.49% and year-on-year 7.61%.
Provinces and capitals
Compared to December 2023, the province of Las Palmas (18.72%) was the most expensive in the country, and Santa Cruz de Tenerife (18.18%), the second.
In the year-on-year variation, the price in Las Palmas increased by 37.38%, while in Santa Cruz de Tenerife it did so by 28.57%.
With 13.63 euros per square meter in June 2023, Las Palmas was the fourth most expensive province in the country, while Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with 11.70 euros, was the sixth.
From one year to another, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (23.29%) was the third Spanish capital that grew the most, and Santa Cruz de Tenerife (22.97%), the fifth.
In the section of average monthly rents, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (14.83 €/m²) was the eighth most expensive capital in Spain, while Santa Cruz de Tenerife (12.70 €/m²) was somewhat more affordable.
