Lanzarote's vacation homes approach 35,000 tourist places

In Yaiza, the percentage of vacation homes on the total reaches 22%, while in Arrecife it does not reach 2%

Between February and August of this year, 234 new vacation homes were registered in Lanzarote, bringing the total on the island to 7,460, equivalent to 34,813 tourist places, according to the Lanzarote Data Center with figures from the National Institute of Statistics (INE).

The municipality with the most vacation rentals is Yaiza, where there are 2,277 homes dedicated to this use, representing 12,357 tourist places. In the south, they account for 22% of the total households.

Next is Haría, where 14.4% of the housing stock is dedicated to this use. There are 560 homes and 1,804 tourist places.

With 1,602 vacation homes and 6,909 places, the municipality of Teguise occupies the third place. They represent 14.3% of the total households in the municipality.

In Tías, vacation homes account for 11.6% of the total. There are 1,924 homes, equivalent to 8,834 tourist places.

The 259 vacation homes in Tinajo account for 9.9% of the housing stock in the municipality and provide 1,062 tourist places.

The vacation homes in San Bartolomé and Arrecife account for 4.1% and 1.9% of their respective housing stocks.

In the capital, there are 489 houses dedicated to this use, representing 1,804 places, while in San Bartolomé there are 349 and 1,526 places.
