Marble floors have never gone out of style. In fact, they are one of the most elegant solutions when placing the floor in a house or outdoors, so they are trending again now. They have the disadvantage that they are a little more delicate than other types of pavements, but the truth is that thanks to floor polishers it is very easy to restore all its splendor.

What types of marble are now trending both indoors and outdoors?

We always talk about marble in general, but the truth is that there are several types. In this way, there is marble that is more suitable for exteriors, while we see another more in interiors.

  • Travertine marble is an all-rounder

This class of marble can be considered an all-rounder. The reason is that it is used both indoors and outdoors, almost always naturally because of its beauty.

  • Santo Tomás marble for interiors

In this case, it is used almost exclusively indoors. It is usually chosen for the floors of dining rooms, living rooms and bathrooms, since its light gray color combines very well. It is true that it is somewhat dark, so it is always recommended to choose the mirror finish in order to obtain more luminosity.

  • Crema Marfil marble, the favorite of architects

We are facing the favorite marble of most architects in the world. Because of its beige tone, it combines with almost all colors, so we are going to see it on interior floors and also on exteriors.

How is marble maintained?

Although we are dealing with a very hard material, the truth is that marble is somewhat delicate when it comes to maintenance. The reason is its porosity, so stains end up penetrating and are very difficult to remove. Over the years, it is best to polish it, which is done with floor polishers. These machines are very versatile, since you only have to add discs intended for each type of floor.

Thus, when we talk about marble, it is always better to opt for diamond resin discs that, although they are more expensive, leave a higher quality finish.

What are the advantages of buying or renting a polisher?

Having a polisher always at hand gives us several advantages. Depending on whether we are professionals or individuals, it is best to buy it or rent it for specific jobs. In this way, with one of these machines we are always going to have the floors ready for very little money, because once we know how it works, we will only have to spend something on buying the appropriate discs.

Thanks to these discs, and a little skill using the polisher, the marble floors will remain like the first day for decades. That means that there will be no roughness or stains and that, in addition, they will shine like a mirror. In the same places where they sell these polishers and rent them, they can give us a small course, so there is no excuse when it comes to not having our pavement perfect, or for not starting a floor polishing business.
