The port of Arrecife expects the arrival of 86 cruise ships in the months of October, November and December this year, according to data from the Port Authority of Las Palmas. The cruise season opens in autumn and the first ship, the Aida Sol, will arrive in Arrecife this Friday. The ships will leave about 100,000 tourists in Lanzarote in these three months.

Until the end of the year, a cruise ship will dock in the port most days and the arrival of three ships is scheduled on several dates. It will be on October 7 and 28, November 10, 11 and 18 and December 1, 26, 28 and 29. Furthermore, the forecast for 2012 exceeds 200 ships.

Some of the largest cruise ships in the world will arrive in Lanzarote, such as the MSC Fantasia, and especially the Queen Mary 2, which was already on the Island once and is scheduled to arrive on November 5.
