The Chamber of Commerce and the Canary Islands Confederation of Entrepreneurs join forces to "achieve the economic and social development of Lanzarote"

The presidents of both institutions will participate in the sessions of the reverse executive committees with voice, but without vote.

The Canary Islands Confederation of Entrepreneurs and the Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Services and Navigation of Lanzarote and La Graciosa sign the first collaboration agreement to promote the rapprochement and connection between both institutions. The aim is that the "sum of the efforts of both generates the necessary synergies to achieve the economic and social development of Lanzarote".

The agreement seeks to activate institutional coordination on the island of Lanzarote and joins efforts in the execution of the functions of each of them. It also aims to help, through different actions, to reactivate economic activity.

Among the specific actions defined in the signed document is to design the strategic lines of business promotion and the economy of Lanzarote; participate jointly in initiatives, programs and measures that are set for this purpose; propose actions that enhance common services; develop a catalog of functions to be developed by each one, as well as the definition of competences and areas of each entity; and promote institutional relations.

In order to achieve broad collaboration, both Institutions will invite the president of the other to attend the sessions of their respective Executive Committees, with voice, but without vote.

Pedro Ortega, president of the Canary Islands Confederation of Entrepreneurs, stressed that, "through the cooperation and effectiveness of the actions developed by both institutions, the agreement aims to be a strategic tool for the promotion of economic activity and innovation, as well as for the competitive improvement of companies in Lanzarote".

The alliance signed in the facilities of the Chamber promotes, in short, a rapprochement between the two entities that will favor business integration and the economic and social development of the Canary Islands.
