Switzerland is one of the most prominent markets in Europe for Lanzarote. Despite its small size, its citizens travel frequently, have great spending power and seek exclusive and sustainable places.
And the interest among Swiss people in visiting Lanzarote is growing. At least as far as Google searches about Lanzarote in Swiss territory are concerned. Last year it slipped into the top ten countries that search for the island the most on the internet.
The island's connection with Switzerland will be reinforced this summer with an additional flight to Geneva by Easyjet, adding up to a total of four flights, two to Geneva and two to Basel per week.
In addition, the connectivity provided by the airline Edelweiss is maintained with two direct weekly flights between Lanzarote and Zurich.
The additional flight this summer increases weekly capacity from 920 seats to 1,104.
