The airline Sunexpress Deutschland offers for this winter season, which began on October 27 and ends in March 2014, more than 43,000 scheduled seats and 232 movements (116 arrivals and 116 departures) with Germany at Lanzarote Airport, which at the beginning of November inaugurated six new routes with the cities of Cologne, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich, Stuttgart and Leipzig.
The airline, which connects these German cities with Lanzarote for the first time, has Boeing 737-800 aircraft for these routes, with capacity for 189 passengers. It should also be noted that these new connections are triangular flights between the German cities, La Palma and Lanzarote.
These new connections, which have a weekly frequency, reinforce the seats offered by Air Berlin, Air Via Bulgaria, Cóndor, Germania, Hamburg Airways, Ryanair and TUI, with a total of 395,329 seats scheduled and more than 2,000 movements for this season with Germany.
The special flight with 180 travel agents, from Cologne, landed this Friday around 3:30 p.m. and was received with the traditional water arch by the airport firefighters. During the reception of this flight, held at the Aeronautical Museum of Lanzarote Airport, the island director on the Island, Juan Prats, the airport director, Manuel Vinagre, and representatives of the tourism sector, welcomed the passengers and crew with a commemorative cake of these new connections.
In addition to these six new destinations, Lanzarote connects with 9 German and one Austrian airports, including Berlin-Tegel, Berlin-Schönefeld, Bremen, Frankfurt-Hann, Hamburg, Hanover, Nuremberg, Paderborn and Salzburg.
