International flight arrivals to Canary Islands airports have grown by over 30% this weekend compared to the previous one. Specifically, Saturday's growth amounts to 34% and Sunday's to 38%, according to Aena sources speaking to Europa Press.
The schedule for the following weekend, November 7th and 8th, reflects a new increase, in this case 23% on Saturday and 5% on Sunday in relation to October 31st and November 1st. Also, the total scheduled flights from Friday, October 30th to Monday, November 2nd are 2,469, of which 1,676 are national and 793 are international.
Thus, this Friday there were 600 operations scheduled at Canary Islands airports (476 national and 124 international), of which 305 were arrivals (239 and 66) and 295 departures (27 and 58); and today, Saturday, there are 714 operations planned (385 national and 329 international), 354 arrivals (190 and 164) and 360 departures (195 and 165).
This Sunday, November 1st, there will be 644 operations (424 national and 220 international), of which 324 are arrivals (213 and 111) and 320 departures (211 and 109), and for Monday there are 511 operations scheduled (391 national and 120 international), 254 of them arrivals (194 and 60) and 257 departures (197 and 60).
Regarding the next 15 days, the arrival operations that were planned at the islands' airports from October 26th to November 8th have been increased in the period from November 2nd to 15th by 11.6% after the schedules made by the airlines during the last week. In the case of Germany, that increase is 44% and in the case of the United Kingdom it amounts to 175%.
Given that the announcements of the removal of recommendations not to fly to the Canary Islands from several countries (United Kingdom, Germany and the Netherlands) are still recent and the circumstances are very changeable, this schedule may vary considerably in the coming days, as pointed out by Aena sources.
