After almost a year of registering increases and reaching historical maximums, the price of fuel is falling, although timidly, on the island.
Gasoline 95 has an average cost of 1.62 euros per liter on the island and drops slightly compared to the previous month when it stood at 1.64 euros. Gasoline 98 goes from 1.75 to 1.71 euros at present, while a liter of diesel now costs 1.60 compared to 1.63 euros the previous month, according to a report from the Lanzarote Council Data Center.
Despite the timid decrease in the price of fuel, the liter continues to be much more expensive than a year ago, when gasoline 95 cost an average of 1.13 euros on the island. Twelve months ago, gasoline 98 was paid at 1.22 euros per liter, while diesel cost 1.05.
The cheapest gas stations are in the south
Both for refueling gasoline 95, with a price of 1.44 euros per liter, and for doing so with diesel, at 1.509 euros per liter, the Marina Rubicón gas stationinPlaya Blanca in the municipality of Yaiza is the cheapest in Lanzarote, according to data from the Ministry of Energy, Tourism and Digital Agenda..
The cheapest gasoline 98 is instead found at the A800-02 gas station in Mácher, on the Arrecife to Yaiza road, with a price of 1.626 euros per liter.
For gasoline 95, the second classified is PCAN in Tías where it costs 1.523 euros, while the third cheapest is the aforementioned A800-02 where it is paid at 1.535 euros. These two gas stations also offer the best prices for diesel, although in this case the Mácher gas station occupies second place with a cost of 1.517 euros and PCAN the third with a price of 1.52 euros per liter.
The most expensive gas station is in Haria
The Texaco gas station in Haria is the most expensive for all types of fuel. As a comparative example, the liter of gasoline 95 is, for example, 20 cents more expensive than in Marina Rubicón.
The second most expensive gas station to refuel gasoline 95 is the E.S. Yaiza on the road to Montaña del Fuego, where the liter is paid at 1.599 euros. The third place is occupied by the PCAN of Arrieta, where it is sold at 1.589 euros.
Regarding gasoline 98, the highest price after the Texaco of Haria (1.755 euros), is found at the Playa Blanca Station in Yaiza and the BP of Arrecife. Both offer the liter at 1.699 euros.
As for diesel, the CEPSA stations in Teguise, where the price ranges between 1.594 and 1.598, are the most expensive after the Texaco of Haria, where it costs 1.648 euros per liter.
