The company organizing the 'Monkey Beach on Tour' party that was held in the Ocean club in Puerto del Carmen on August 1st, has issued a statement to deny that positive cases have been detected among the attendees of the event.

"The information about positive cases circulating through audios and Whatsapp messages is completely false," states the entity Only Club Lab and Monkey On Tour, which points out that it has reported the "false information" to the authorities, as it is "detrimental to the brand and the event." Thus, it points out that "appropriate measures will be taken regarding the people who have dedicated themselves to launching and sharing said information without criteria or foundation, creating an unnecessary social alarm."

In its statement, it clarifies that its event "has no relation whatsoever" with the different restaurants that have announced their closure due to positive cases of Covid-19 in Lanzarote. "We are independent entities that neither share personnel nor have any relationship," it adds.

Likewise, it assures that all its personnel "are in perfect health" and that it has located "all the attendees to the event." "We have contacted the health authorities and there are no officially recorded cases of outbreaks at the event," points out the company organizing the 'Monkey Beach on Tour' party. In addition, it assures that, in its "faithful commitment to responsible leisure," the event was developed "under the security measures implemented by the Government of the Canary Islands.

They ask to "put a stop to hoaxes"

Thus, the entity Only Club Lab and Monkey on Tour transmits "tranquility" and asks to "put a stop to hoaxes." "Before sharing information from any medium coming from an unreliable source, we must verify the information to disseminate it. Disinformation causes unnecessary revolution," it adds.

For all this, it requests "that the propagation of this false information, which is already in the hands of the competent authorities, be stopped and paralyzed." "We will not hesitate to take legal action against each of the people who share and propagate said extreme," it concludes.
