In an act of support for the Lanzarote community, Spar kicks off the 5th edition of its successful "Solidarity Product" campaign, which allocates part of the sales of selected products to charitable purposes.
This action managed to raise more than €32,000 in previous editions, which was donated to various local organizations that work for the most needy.
The campaign, which started in 2020, has established itself as "one of the most outstanding initiatives of Spar Lanzarote, demonstrating the chain's commitment to the island and its inhabitants".
"With each purchase from our customers, they are not only acquiring quality products, but they are also contributing to a noble cause."
In its first editions, the funds raised were allocated to different social causes, achieving a direct impact on the lives of many people:
- 2020: In favor of Calor & Café and Banco de Alimentos with a total of €4,848.
- 2021: In solidarity with those affected by the La Palma volcano, the campaign raised €8,586.
- 2022: €8,080 were allocated to Cáritas and Calor & Café, two key organizations in the fight against poverty and social exclusion.
- 2023: The campaign was extended to Cáritas, Calor & Café and AECC Lanzarote (Spanish Association against Cancer), with a total contribution of €11,262.
This year, Spar Lanzarote continues with its commitment to solidarity and the company hopes that the 5th edition of "Solidarity Product" will exceed expectations, benefiting more associations and helping those who need it most.
The campaign will be available in all Eurospar and Spar supermarkets in Arrecife, where customers will be able to find products identified with the solidarity seal. With each purchase of these products, part of the price will be donated to charitable organizations.
