Fred. Olsen Express will reinforce its services in the archipelago for Easter, offering 14,000 more seats on its usual offer to cover the expected passenger demand between April 8 and 18.

Specifically, the shipping company will offer 492 inter-island roundtrip connections, and a total of more than 435,000 seats, with the aim of responding to the recovery of tourist activity after the pandemic. This represents an increase of 70% more in trips than in Easter 2021, and 47% more seats for passengers.

"At Fred. Olsen Express we maintain our commitment to connectivity between the islands, always focusing on people. Therefore, in response to the increase in demand for travel during Easter, we are increasing the number of trips and available seats," says David Falcón, Head of Revenue Management. "With the improvement of the epidemiological situation, we hope to gradually recover the levels of travelers we had in 2019."

Specifically, the shipping company intends to reinforce those routes that are most in demand in order to provide a quality service. A large volume of travelers is expected on the connections between Tenerife and La Gomera, with five daily departures from each port, and Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura with four frequencies a day.

Although the coronavirus restrictions are no longer in force in the Canary Islands, Fred. Olsen Express points out that security measures will be maintained on board, including its thorough disinfection protocols, preferred payment by card, its turn-based disembarkation system and the safety distance between passengers.
