Fred. Olsen Express presented last Tuesday "The journey of the Bañaderos Express", the company's first documentary about the long journey from Cebu, Philippines, to Puerto de la Luz and Las Palmas to bring its latest fast ferry to the Canary Islands.

Its creator, journalist César Sar, has managed to capture in a 27-minute video report the life of the 18 professionals who traveled 9,700 nautical miles for more than two weeks to complete this task.

Sar's main objective was to show the most human side of the company, as well as recognize the effort and commitment of the workers, something he has achieved by giving voice and face to its protagonists.

The ship's captains, the chief engineer, the first officers, foremen or the head of cabin, among others, tell in the documentary piece what their day-to-day life was like on the ship, as well as the innovations by the company, such as the avant-garde navigation system based on Big Data that improves the stabilization of the ship, as well as the use of components that make it more sustainable.

In addition, the journey that began last October 2021 could be followed live through the company's website, where you could see in real time great moments such as the passage through the Strait of Malacca, the accompaniment of Operation Atalanta through the High Risk Area of the Western Indian Ocean and the crossing through the Suez Canal.

"Few people are lucky enough to experience an adventure of this magnitude firsthand. It is a journey full of emotion, after the long process involved in the construction of a ship of these characteristics, and it is undoubtedly a reflection of the professionalism and commitment to continuous improvement of Fred. Olsen Express. An enthusiasm that we hope to transmit, at least in part, through this report," says César Sar.

The report is now available on the company's YouTube channel, on social networks and in its on-board entertainment service during Fred. Olsen Express journeys.
