Of the approximately 1,000 homes for sale currently in Lanzarote, 13% exceed one million euros, a higher percentage than in the province of Barcelona (11%) and almost identical to that of the Community of Madrid where they reach 14%, according to data from the real estate portal Idealista.com.
In fact, the proportion of homes above one million euros is much higher in Lanzarote than in the entire province of Las Palmas, which also includes Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria. Analyzed together, only 0.9% of the houses in the province exceed that amount.
In contrast, in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, that percentage rises to 3%, the seventh province in the country with a higher proportion of this type of property in its real estate market.
There are five provinces that concentrate 84% of all available homes with a cost exceeding one million euros in Spain: Málaga, Balearic Islands, Madrid, Alicante, Barcelona, and Girona.
Of the 43,707 luxury homes currently available in Spain, the Balearic Islands concentrate 23%, followed by Málaga with 20% of the total, and then Madrid (14%), Alicante (11%), Barcelona (11%), and Girona (6%).
Santa Cruz de Tenerife is the seventh province in which more product above one million is accumulated, with 3%, followed by Cádiz and Valencia (2% in both cases).
The ranking of the main provinces with more luxury homes is completed with Granada (1%), Las Palmas (0.9%), Pontevedra, Guipúzcoa, and Vizcaya (0.6% in all three cases).
In contrast, in the province of Zamora, there are no homes for sale above that price. Palencia and Soria only have 2 each, while in Cuenca there are only 3.
Next are Salamanca (7), Badajoz, Burgos, and León (11 homes in each).
